3. Getting to know your machine

Let's go through the main functions and features of the AD1083 compact seeder.

AD083 with Double Disc undercarriage

Machine Options

Install a hectare meter in your tractor to monitor seeding progress. Fit harrows or a rear tow hitch to tow additional trailing implements and rollers.

Flexi-Roller

Independent roller rings allow the Flexi-Roller to follow the contours of the earth, providing maximum ground contact and ensuring the best possible seedbed finish.

Rubber Tyre Roller

The gang of solid rubber tyres press firmly into the ground following seeding with enough weight to distribute the gentle compaction evenly across flat paddocks.

4. SETUP AND CALIBRATION

The Small Seeds Box (SSB) is calibrated separately from the main drill. Use the same calibration factor and handle turns as your main drill configuration — pre-filled below if you have completed Step 1 on the Main Drill tab.

🔔 Low Gear is the factory default setting. Set High or Low gear by placing the drive chain on the appropriate sprockets before calibrating.

✓ Values pre-filled from your main drill configuration
2 Seed Type & Target Rate
3 Weigh & Calculate

Prime the seed rollers first, then collect from the 5 SSB hoses after the required handle turns and weigh.

Adjusting sowing rate: Use the drive bar to make minor adjustments. If you are unable to get the seeding rate high or low enough, change the drive speed by moving the chain between the High and Low gear sprockets.
